Go On a White-Teeth Diet
Words of Wisdom No.1: “Go On a White-Teeth Diet”
If you are aiming to have permanently white teeth then try to consider going on a white-teeth diet. A white-teeth diet involves avoiding colored drinks such as red wine, colas, black tea, coffee, and any other dark juices or beverages.
The analogy is simple. If you put something colored in your mouth, then it will eventually stain your teeth. Since you don’t really have much control of which color of foods you eat, you can have a better control when it comes to drinks. You can always choose to drink water instead of coffee, or clear sodas instead of dark colored ones.
You also need to avoid smoking. Nicotine can build up in your teeth making it look yellowish. You should bear in mind that Nicotine builds up gradually so you may not see its effect immediately. But take note that the effects will still show in time and by then, it will be very hard to make your teeth white again.
If you cannot avoid drinking dark beverages on the other hand, what you can at least do is to brush your teeth immediately after drinking. This will lessen the time of exposure of these colored substances on your teeth. If you have noticed that you already have yellowish teeth, try using a good bleaching agent. You can buy this over-the-counter or you can also consult your orthodontist for a prescription.
Always remember, having healthy and white teeth can help you preserve them while you age. Most senior citizens lost their teeth at an early age because of negligence when it comes to oral health. Be smart, and don’t make the same mistakes.
